Hand-Free Umbrella
February 22, 2008
How many of you carry an umbrella when it?s raining? Unless I know that I?ll be walking for long distances in the pouring rain,

I won?t bother. I figure that I?ll spend more time standing in the rain closing the umbrella and trying to put it in the car than I?ll actually spend outside. If you have a thing about getting wet, you might want to check out the very interesting Nubrella.
The idea here is that you can have an umbrella that doesn?t require any hands, because lets face it, you don?t always have one. The other benefit is that your head is blocked from the elements on all sides. On the downside you look like you?re being eaten by a transparent Pac-Man. If you don?t mind the strange looks you?ll get, you can pick one up for $60.
What do you think!!!!!!

Ping-Pong:Unfold Door
February 15, 2008
It?s not that we have any particular dislike for doors, it?s just that, growing up in a barn, we never had any use for

them. But with our current Balls-of-Fury-infused obsession, the Ping-Pong door is enough to change our minds. Housing a Ping-Pong table within an internal frame, the door?unfolds?for a quick match. It?s a clever, efficient use of space for those who don?t require a full-size table to get their Forrest Gump on.
Oh?just a minor caveat. One side of the door has to be bright green. We suggest not telling your duplex neighbor before installation. The doortable is set to go on sale next year. And we?ll be the first to let you know after we preorder.

Weird and Fun : Eggling
February 13, 2008
If you’re looking for a unique and inexpensive gift or a weird and fun conversation piece for your desk at work, then check out The Eggling - a real plant that you can hatch from an egg!

The precious little Eggling looks and feels like an extra large egg, but crack its top and discover a garden ready for sowing!
Extremely popular in Japan, where it originated, the Eggling is made of white porous ceramic and comes with a terracotta tray and seed pack of either herbs or flowers.
Four types of herbs (basil, italian parsley, mint, thyme) and flowers (chrysanthemum, lobelia, phlox, petunia) are available - or even use your own seeds.
Cultivation is easy - all the plants grow for up to five months in the Eggling’s fortified peat mixture, after which the Eggling can be planted directly in soil.
Egglings are packaged individually in a gift box, and supplied as a pair comprising one herb and one flower.
Each egg is approximately 5cm high and 4cm diameter.
